Výstava zahájena – dovoluji si Vás pozvat na komentovanou prohlídku mé samostatné výstavy Střepy, kterou můžete navštívit v novém prostoru galerie Chemistry v pražské Lucerně, hned u vstupu do pasáže ze Štěpánské ulice. Setkání proběhne ve středu 10. června od 18 hodin. Výstava potrvá pouze do 14. června a je otevřena každý den kromě pondělí od 11 do 19 hodin. |

Výstava Střepy představuje Bartoníčkův návrat k sochařské praxi po letech věnovaných digitálním a novomediálním technologiím. Není to však ústup, ale přehodnocení: v momentě, kdy se obrazy generují samy a technologická produkce dosáhla inflačního bodu, stává se fyzický materiál místem odporu. Zvoleným materiálem je litina, jejíž zpracování vyžaduje zdlouhavý proces překladu od gesta přes formu k odlitku. Povrchy objektů nesou stopy expresivního tvarování — kaligrafického gesta přeloženého do trojrozměrné hmoty. Tvary jsou dynamické, efemérní — vlnění, fragmenty, střepy zachyceného pohybu. Materiál je však masivní, definitivní. |

The exhibition is now open — I have the pleasure of inviting you to a guided tour of my solo exhibition *Shards*, on view at Chemistry Gallery's new space in the Lucerna Palace, Prague, directly at the entrance to the arcade from Štěpánská Street. The event will take place on Wednesday, 10 June, at 6 p.m. The exhibition runs until 14 June only and is open daily except Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. |

The exhibition Shards marks Bartoníček's return to sculptural practice following years devoted to digital and new-media technologies. Yet this is not a retreat but a reconsideration: as images are generated artificially and we are witnessing an inflation of technological production, physical material has turned into a means of resistance. The artist has chosen cast iron as a medium, whose processing is lengthy, transforming the artistic gesture through the mould to the final casting. The surfaces of his objects show imprints of expressive shaping — a calligraphic gesture rendered in three-dimensional mass. The forms are dynamic and ephemeral: undulations, fragments, shards of captured movement. The material, on the contrary, is massive and definitive. |
